Flight Deal: NYC to Paris for $1400 in Business Class
Everyone wants to get to Paris in springtime—but it’s not always a great deal. Economy flights from the east coast of the U.S. can reach $1,000, and the cheapest business class ticket we saw (NYC to Paris this spring) was $2,500 on United. The next best option jumped to $7,330.
Then there’s La Compagnie, a French airline that offers exclusively business class for discounted prices. We love this carrier. Its Boeing 757s have 74 lie-flat seats—okay, so they’re not fully lie-flat, but pretty close—and come with what’s expected in business class: personal tablets for entertainment; pillows and blankets and such; decent meals and wine; and business class lounges at departure and arrival.
Best of all: Non-stop round-trips between NYC-EWR and Paris cost just $1,400. This sale is in honor of La Compagnie’s announcement that, starting April 22, the airline will fly into Paris Orly instead of Charles de Gaulle. The move doesn’t change much for travelers: You can still find domestic and international connections with major European and American carriers at Orly. You just arrive south of the city instead of north; Orly is about 30 minutes outside of Paris and accessible on Paris’s RER train system.
How to book: Find these deals on La Compagnie’s website. They’re available now through March 23, but have been known to sell out before the sale’s end date so don’t wait around to purchase. Tickets include access to La Compagnie’s Newark and Orly lounges, one carry-on bag and two checked bags at no extra cost. The airline flies at least once a day from Newark to Paris and back, its only route.
